LFScript revision 26 released

LFScript revision 26 has just been released. As always, it includes scripts for the latest versions of LFS and BLFS.

A lot of new BLFS scripts have been tested and are now known to work properly. See the Whitelist for a complete list. Notable new entries on this list are gedit, gtk+3 and gparted.

Also included in this release is the MATE Desktop Environment. I've updated the scripts from an earlier release and also added them to the wiki

LFScript revision 25 released

I've just released LFScript revision 25. It includes recent LFS and BLFS scripts where the core XFCE scripts are now known to work properly again.

LFScript also got a few minor bugfixes and I've added a few modifications for running LFScript on ARM devices. My raspberri pi ARM build is still ongoing...

See the changelog for details.

LFScript on ARM

I'm currently building an LFS system on a (simulated) raspberry pi. LFClass can and has been compiled for ARM, which is the only thing that theoretically stood in the way of running LFScript on ARM.

I'm now testing whether the instructions at http://www.intestinate.com/pilfs/guide.html are enough to complete a build of LFS. It warned of a build time of 60+ hours.

Revision 22 will be released June 30th

Better late than never.

LFScript 4 revision 22 has just finished building my new system, which means the scripts for the most recent versions of LFS and BLFS are confirmed to work. It is therefore almost ready to be released.

This month I have been cleaning up the Wiki (removing a lot of hidden spam) and I've just updated the front page and Change Log in preparation of this release. The front page now explains more clearly what LFScript is and does, and what you can expect from each release.

I hope I can maintain this momentum and keep releasing new revisions at regular intervals.
